FAQ:
Do I need to take/pass my NCLEX before applying to the Fellowship?
No, you are able can apply to the fellowship before taking and passing the NCLEX. However, you will not be able to be officially hired and practice as an RN until you pass the NCLEX
Which unit(s) participate in the RN Fellowship?
The ED and ICU are the primary areas participating in the fellowship, however, if you would like experience in a different unit we still encourage you to apply
Do fellowship nurses receive the same pay and benefits as other RN’s?
Yes! Fellowship nurses receive the same pay and benefits as other RNs
Will I be eligible for RN hiring bonuses?
Yes, you would be eligible for a RN hiring bonus, if one is being offered at the time of hire.
If I don’t take/pass the NCLEX before February can I still apply for the Fellowship?
Yes, you can still apply to the fellowship if you have not taken or passed the NCLEX. Saint Michaels is aiming to run 3 cohorts of Nurse Fellowships per year, so if you miss the first cohort still apply to be considered for the next cohort
Will I be working full time, as part of the Fellowship?
Yes, you will work three 12-hour shifts, and participate in didactic/classroom training
