
Saint Michael’s Medical Center today announced the appointment of Gregory Kacprzynski, MD, as the new chair of Emergency Medicine.
A board-certified Emergency Medicine physician, Dr. Kacprzynski brings a deep commitment to clinical excellence, leadership, and innovation in emergency care.
Dr. Kacprzynski joins Saint Michael’s from Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel, NJ, where he served as the attending emergency medicine physician, providing high-acuity emergency care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
He received his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where he trained extensively in trauma, pediatrics, critical care, and toxicology.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Kacprzynski is a published researcher whose work includes studies on traumatic brain injuries, delayed arterial dissection, and simulation-based medical education. He is also passionate about mentorship, community engagement, and provider development.

Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Kacprzynski served as a volunteer firefighter for the Brookview Volunteer Fire Company in East Brunswick.
Dr. Kacprzynski is fluent in English and Polish, conversational in Spanish, and is an avid photographer and enjoys skiing and traveling.
