Picketing Outside of Hospital
Dear Patients and Visitors;
Thank you for trusting us with your care.
You may notice picketing outside our hospital. The labor union that represents some of our employees has decided to go on strike.
Please be assured that Saint Michael’s Medical Center is fully staffed with physicians and essential medical professionals. All services are open and will remain in full operation. The labor union only represents a minority of our staff, whereas most of our employees are still reporting to work. For the duration of the strike, Saint Michael’s has arranged for qualified staff to ensure the hospital can continue providing quality care for our patients.
We have been negotiating with the union in good faith for many months. Further negotiations are scheduled, and we will continue to negotiate an agreement that serves the best interests of our valued employees, and most importantly, our patients.
Saint Michael’s Medical Center remains proud and grateful to serve our community.
Thank you for allowing us to serve you and your family and trusting us with your care.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any member of the hospital administration.
Sincerely,
Alan Sickles, MD
CEO, Saint Michael’s Medical Center
