Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) is a medicine taken to prevent HIV infection. It’s more than a prescription – it’s a prevention program. The Peter Ho Memorial Clinic:
- Assists patients with enrollment in a pharmaceutical drug/co-pay assistance program
- Conducts risk assessment for HIV infection
- Directs patient to primary medical care services
- Provides safer sex education
- Monitors medication adherence
- Provides assistance from on-site PrEP team
